Alla Campagna is amazing Italian! The food was very delicious, the atmosphere was perfect and the waitstaff was wonderful! We had the margarita pizza and added sausage as well as the tortellini, which it was evident that the shells were made in-house because they tasted so delicious. I didn’t even get to try them because my husband ate them all!
We also had Peach Bellinis and thought they were great! The perfect amount of sweet, bubbly and barley tart. You won’t regret going here!

Food was amazing! Atmosphere was really cozy. Place is always busy so make sure to make a reservation to end up on a table if not, you will be like me… I had to eat at the bar but still had a great time! Service was on point. Will be back soon for sure!

Focaccia
Found them via tic tok. Saw the lasagna and knew that's what I wanted. The atmosphere is nice. The staff was nice. The lasagna however was not worth the $30+ price. The edges were burnt which wouldn't be bad but it was dry. If they would have added more sauce and more cheese it would have been better but the price was not warranted for the quality. I have had better lasagnas for cheaper prices. I expected the lasagna to not be dry and to not be burnt. I was very disappointed. My sister ordered pork chops that was dry and the polenta was over seasoned. Maybe order something different and you will like it. They we're also out of tiramisu and focaccia and apparently I got the last lasagna which I wish it would have been last before I got there.

Lets get down to business. The thing about Fredericksburg is that the turn around is so fast. That most restaurants just serve sub par food at a market up price. A real shame. HOWEVER! Alla Campagna is a true kitchen restaurant with a menu that is in a class of its own. I had the Linguine Con Gamberi. My son had the Ragu Papardelle. Both were absolutely amazing, a true breath of fresh air for Main Street. You do have to have a reservation, however ask to sit on the patio... as long as it's open you'll have a table. You can sit at the bar, but don't bet on that. It's a small inside restaurant. The outside was a much better space and more family oriented for larger tables. I really enjoyed the dinner and the staff.. definitely a must on Main Street.

Our server was Alejandro and he was great! Very attentive and had great recommendation for our wine selection. For appetizer we had the roasted garlic & ricotta meatballs, and for entree I had the wild boar pasta bolognese and my husband had the bucatini. The meatballs were great but I thought it would come with a scope of homemade ricotta on the dish so I was a little disappointed there. The bolognese was good but needed a little more seasoning but the bucatini was amazing!! If we go back I will surely get the bucatini and try out the pizza they looked great too!

Wild Boar Pasta Bolognese
We had a wonderful dining experience at Alla Campagna! Drove into Fredericksburg for a little day trip and couldn’t have asked for a better place to end our night. Parking along Main Street was easy to find, even for a holiday weekend. The drinks, food and service were all 10/10. The buffalo mozzarella, grilled calamari, pappardelle and tiramisu are a MUST! Also really enjoyed the focaccia with oil and the carne pizza, the bread/dough was delicious. This will definitely be our go to spot for Fredericksburg trips to come. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot to spend our New Year’s Eve!

Wild Boar Pasta Bolognese
Family of 6: 4 adults, 2 children. Calamari as an appetizer was different…grilled, not fried. Nice wine selection. While they don’t have a kid’s menu, they did offer cheese pizza or pasta with butter for the little ones at the table. We enjoyed the following dishes: Lasagne, Shrimp Linguine, Pappardelle & Bucatini. Nice portion sizes, more than enough for all of us to sample the others. Very delectable desserts!!!
Overall a great meal/experience.
Suggestions: offer more of a kids menu, add some blinds to the top of the windows in front (sun comes through & is blinding), would love to see Chicken Parmesan & Eggplant Parmesan on the menu.

We ordered pizza and an appetizer. Our food was good but we noticed several tables sending theirs back. Our waiter did a great job juggling what appeared to be a kitchen problem (so his service was a 5). Cold food, soggy pizza (we ordered ours crispy), etc.....

Side Street Hospitality sets the bar high and Alla Campagna didn't disappoint! Knowledgeable servers, nicely edited Italian wine list. The eggplant rollatini was delicious!
