The place to go in Essaouira for some raucous fun and good priced beer, locals and the lucky Europeans who have found it all enjoying each others company. Wine and spirits also available all reasonably priced. Only downside is that smoking inside reminds you why it was such a good thing most countries have banned it. ! Video shows celebration when Morocco beat Canada world Cup 2022.

This bar has huge potential, but there is very wierd atmosphere. Scam vibes. After all we had fun there. Affordable beers for 20 dirham. Probably free snacks. Price per person MAD 100–150

Whilst Western women (only) are allowed in - possibly only if accompanied - I wouldn't recommend it. An authentic experience, cheap beer served with food but too much hassle from a drunk Moroccan with a sob story who followed us out and down the alley in a vaguely threatening manner. If you're a group of men it could be a great experience...
This is a great little bar, hidden in a back street near Bab Sbaa. We were the only tourists there. It was full of local men. I went with my husband and son. I felt quite comfortable being the only woman there. The beers are 18 dirham each. We were each given a free bowl of beans & olives, on the second night we were given chickpeas & popcorn. A couple of elderly local men were playing a fiddle and a drum. Some people might consider it a dive, but it was a cheap authentic experience. Loved it, well worth finding

Great little bar... No signs. 18dh for a beer. Mainly locals it seems. Welcoming.
A hidden gem in this city. If you find it, you have earned your cheap beer. yes, 1,8 euro for a beer. 2,5euro if you insists on a Heineken, but why would you when Flag Special is better an cheaper? I respected the local rules, so no photos taken. Btw, you can also watch sports here. Or just hang out with locals. Few tourists has yet found this place
The try to be nice to to try to take advantage. Low level of people go there. It's not a bar to enjoy. It's more an alcoholic place to marrocan people. Bad energy and be careful.
