This is a very small bakery but the cakes (for the most part) are consistent with the Mountain View one. There's only outdoor seating and the vibe is just a bit off. The hyped flat croissant tastes like a butterfly cookie. Service Take out Meal type Other Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Life is full of surprises. I was going to leave it a three star review but that first bite of the last chocolate pastry sold to me changed my mind. I imprudently felt it was worthy of the money I spent. Decided to take my son to try out Alexander's Patisserie in Cupertino for the first time. Found out it was much smaller than its sister shop in Mountain View, in terms of store size and selection. No indoor dining, only outdoors, not bad when it's warm and sunny, but not ideal when it's wet and cold. Although staff was friendly and helpful, I was not impressed with the whole atmosphere, neither was my son who complained about its priciness. There was a vibe of detachment and coldness in the ambience, I guess it's because of lack of indoor seating and people. I went home, still amusing at how much spent on four items (two pastries and two fancy mousse cakes), then I took the first bite of the chocolate cream pastry, and it sent me to heaven! It was divine! The crispy shell mixed with the creamy chocolate contents was unbelievably yummy! Not sure if it's the psychological effect that lies on the more $$ you spend on something the better you perceive it is. After Alexander's, we went to 85 degree bakery cross the street and bought a whole bag of bake goods and two boba milk teas, with the same amount of money. It's all perspective.
