Alex and his crew welcomed us with open arms! The pizza was very good, best salami I’ve ever had (and I travel Italy frequently). The crew was amazing and deserve full appreciation, Alex himself is an incredible individual with a unique personality. We were welcomed as you expect from a true Italian. We will be back!

Best pizza i have had in a long time and the fresh garlic and chilli sauce topped it for me. There was live entertainment from a local who is amazing at playing his guitar gave me goosbumps hearing sound of silence while enjoying a cold beer.
The pizza here is absolutely fantastic. Yes it's a bit expensive, but the prices are comparable to all the other restaurants in the area. Also be aware that food takes a very long time to prepare because everything is prepared from fresh. Also typical for restaurants in this area. The quality of the pizza makes the wait and price worth it. I always come back here whenever I'm in the area.

Great vibe and good food but left feeling totally ripped off. Firstly the person paying the food bill was charged R7000 for 22 pizzas, whether ingredients are imported or not. No pizza on his menu was more than R250 however eating bill worked out to R320 on average per pizza. Secondly 2 of us paid for the person, that paid for the meal, drinks and Alex failed to mention to both of us that the drinks were already paid for.

absolute rip off. Most expensive pizza you will ever have. We had 22 at an average of R250 each. When queried apparently he imports mozarella and that was the extra cost. would have been nice to get a warning before hand. We won't be back even though the pizza was above average.
To begin with the new location has none of the charm which the old one had, you might as well be sitting in a franchise restaurant at a shopping mall. Despite this we still gave them a chance , as we had such a great experience when visiting two years ago. But this was a disaster. First they got my girlfriend’s order completely wrong and gave her the wrong pizza, then they came back to say they ran out of avo. We then gave them our own avo from the car to complete the order , which still resulted in yet another disappointment as they rushed the order to such an extent that the base was not cooked properly. At the end of all this we where presented a bill with no apology and not even an offer to discount the order for which we provided ingredients !
Alex's Pizza is by far the best pizza I have ever had. They are very generous with the toppings and the pizza is baked in a wood fire oven. If you plan a trip to Ponta make sure you get some of their Pizza's you wont regret it.
