I've been a couple times to try a few different things. I can't get over the taste of the rice and beans. I'm not sure what it is they add to those two food items but I am not a fan! Now, the service was awesome both times. The salsa was definitely a hit for me!! Sour cream enchiladas, not so much. Mahi Mahi was immaculate, like absolutely my favorite!!! Last night, we tried the Sam Bass Super Fajitas which was also a hit for me!!! The pork was super tender and juicy, bacon wrapped shrimp was delicious! I'll definitely skip on beans and rice moving forward but I will go back for the rest! Ah, can't forget the Queso Del Campo also a yes!! Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This was our first time, they start you with chips and salsa, the salsa was home made excellent spicy but not too spicy. Then we ordered the Sam Bass Fajitas it had the beef chicken and pork, and bacon wrapped shrimp. The meat actually had flavor, real flavor and not bland like the chain restaurants, and the bacon wrapped shrimp all I can say is crispy bacon you can’t go wrong it’s pure genius. The beans, usually after trying the beans at a restaurant the next time in I tell them to not even bring them. That won’t happen here the beans are extremely delicious as a matter of fact for the first time ever I carried the beans home. Then we ended the dinner with sopapilla all I can say is just do it order them it’s worth it. So if you are tired of the everyday bland restaurants and you feel as if everywhere else is just the same food with different decor I recommend Alejandro’s you’ll be happy you did. Loved it! Service and food was great. Burger was delicious! Presentation beautiful! Family owned! Worth the money. You can spend the same amount at a fast food place and wouldn't be as good.. My opinion... Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes The Greenhaw Quesadilla
Our Favorite Regular dine and drinks establishment. We have been regulars for a minute. We love the chips, hands down the best salsa anywhere but it is on the hot spicy side, just the way we like it. In fact we usually buy some take home. The menu is unique and simple, everything on it is good but the hamburger is off the chain, big enough to feed my wife and I. We sometimes order one and share it sometimes to go. They have the best stuffed shrimp and jalapeno anywhere. If you're hungry and want something really good enough for two three or four people get the Sam Bass fajitas. It has shrimp, beef, pork, and chicken Plus Diablo shrimp my favorite on top. You want me to disappointed I guarantee it. This isn't a huge place but it's a very cozy place with some of the best staff, Cooks but the bartender, Caden is one of a kind, a young man that is a hard-working and very likable human being. We consider him a friend and enjoy visiting with him while we're there. The place wouldn't be the same without him. There is another sweet young thing that has always so helpful and friendly, and funny. I feel ashamed that I can't remember her name but I a picture of her and okay so check them out. A good place for a drink, they have some badass margaritas, and lots of Wonderful drinks. Come by on a Friday and you might catch us. It has really helped transform that part of downtown. Only thing I can say negative about the place is there to go margaritas are too damn expensive and caught me off guard when I ordered a couple to go watch the band play. If I'd known I was going to spend $50 for two margaritas and tip, I would have gone without them. On the positive side they were huge and very good. Once a month they have outdoor concerts right behind it in the new Front Street Center with a stage area. Check it out it is very cool with an excellent vibe. This is such a great addition to Mesquite! Everything we had was excellent from the salsa, elote to the drinks, meals and churros! Definitely give them a try! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
First time trying this establishment that recently opened and they are good. The establishment is clean. It did take a little bit to get greeted and seated which was ok for me. It looks like there were 2 servers working for a Saturday lunch. Both were very friendly. Just a tad slow at times but if I was in a rush may not be good but I was okay with it. They still were doing their best as I can see. The food itself was very good. The chips were warm and great, the salsa was a lil spicier than I would like but it was tolerable. I really liked how it was not just your typical red salsa, it was a slight brownish color. Also ordered a small queso cup with ground beef which was surprisingly good and well seasoned, had a slight smokey flavor. I ordered the beef and chicken fajita, which came with beans, rice, fixing, and flour or corn tortillas. The beef by itself was really salty but having it with the fixins and flour tortilla balanced the saltiness. The borracho beans were super salty, I substituted the Mexican rice for Cilantro lime rice which unfortunately had a waxy taste/texture. For dessert, the sopapilla, which was awesome! It was light, flaky, and fried and you can put butter and drizzle honey yourself. The only thing that would top that dessert would have been vanilla icecream which they didn't have. Overall, I would come back to try other dishes. Would definitely come back for the warm chips, salsa, queso with meat, and sopapilla!
