The views here are stunning especially watching the sunset - It’s nice to get away from the heat of the city. The food was fine but not as good as before. The meat kabobs were very tough & hard to chew and the kafta was very mid. The mezze was fine (nothing spectacular). Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

One of the best restaurants in North Lebanon. The food is fresh and flavorful. The service is Top Notch and the view is simply Spectacular. Enjoy!
4 stars for the spectacular view. Yes, it's an old heritage restaurant. But must maintain the quality of the food. We didn't line the kibbeh miswieh at all.
On Saturday the 6th of August 2022 between 13h30 and 14h00, myself and group of 4 people went to the Al ferdaws restaurant (الفردوس) in Ehden. The reception was very warm welcoming but you could see that it was over doing it, as if they are acting with their welcoming. We ordered food and they brought extra expensive dishes that we didn't order, I've asked the waiter politely to remove it from the table, they did so. At the end I did ask for the bill to pay, it came around 3670000, they over charged us with minium of 1200000, I've asked the waiter why is that, he just shrugged and said that was the bill, he didn't show me a full bill. On the way out, the same waiter didn't even care to say goodbye, was sitting on the chair .
During the lazy Summer days of my childhood, Ehden was a place we visited to avoid the heat radiating from the scorching sun. One of the popular restaurants we could escape to there was Al Ferdaws. However, it wasn’t just us that sought this restaurant as a refuge; in those days a person would have to struggle to find an empty table. Well, when we went this time, there was no need to search for a space to be seated in. We decided to try it anyway, although if you’re a parent, you should be aware that high chairs are not provided. A noteworthy issue is that the service was really great; the waiters were very attentive and friendly. The cool breeze was refreshing, and the vast greenery that the restaurant overlooked was luscious. It was time to try the food. For those of you who do not know this, Ehden is well-known for its voluminous spherical “kibbe”, especially the one filled with “shahem” (fat). Actually, the kibbe with fat was the best thing I tasted at Al Ferdaws, other than the fattoush which was fresh and well-seasoned. The mezze/appetizers were fine; the only one from the platters we ordered that I did not like was the sambousik. As for the grilled meat and chicken dish, the most flavorful and succulent was the kafta. Some meat pieces were more tender than others, but the chicken was borderline chewy. When all the Salted was taken off the table, the restaurant offered us an assortment of fruits on the house. Then, like in most Lebanese restaurants, a person wearing a traditional attire dedicates himself to passing around the tables to pour coffee for those who want some bitterness to accompany the sweetness of the fruits and the biscuits with lokum cubes. I left Al Ferdaws feeling content to have returned to a place that I used to go to in my younger years.
We had a business dinner there. I enjoyed every single moment. The food was delicious, we had a variety of lebanese dishes, preceeded by a very rich mezza. Falafel was crunchy rich in taste; the kebbe dish was so inviting; the tabboule and fattouch were so fresh. As for the other meat dishes they were all tender, cooked a point, and full of flavours. We had a band to entertain us, we all danced like being in a wedding. Well deserved 4 *. Congrats. Recommended.
Horrible food quality...actually shocking...it has been getting much worse over time. It is also very expensive for what we ordered. Overwhelming staff presence and non stop fake praising (even for cultural standards) The place used to have a good reputation many years ago...it s now a shadow of the past. One advice...Avoid it at any cost. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1
