I had tofu and fried rice. My husband tried Hamachi Kama (yellow tuna) w/spicy basil stir-fry, brown rice. The service and atmosphere were wonderful 👌. The flavors were spot on, except for tofu. 12/2/23 , finally I decided to just go in and take a seat. I ordered two appetizers, the sushi had hair in it, the appetizer came shortly before the main dish, I showed the waitress the hair, she went and got the manager whom told me that the hair didn’t belong to any of the cooks 🤨, the pineapple bowl had four shrimp in it but I didn’t have an issue paying for my meal, however I do have an issue paying for a dish that come with more than I ordered. The food that we ordered didn’t have flavor which surprised me because it’s more expensive than other places around here with the same dishes. The manager was disrespectful. What a wonderful evening we had at Akahana I love the Regular Pho (with steak). The broth is so flavorful and the vegetables are so succulent. The service is prompt, professional and unhurried. Every time we’re in town to see family we make it a point to visit. EVERY meal we’ve had so far has been a perfect delight. Thank you! Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Any sushi lovers will be in paradise as they have an abundance and diversity of rolls here that are delicious!! What I recommend is enjoying their sushi specials (Salmon Belly) and bartender recommendations if you wanna branch out. With that being said there are AMAZING people there who can help you out regardless. Marina/Sarah (AMAZING) the bartenders are solid! Lei (AMAZING) the manager for the place is so sweet and understanding so she got you! Brody (AMAZING host) All of these individuals deserve recognition with their great vibes all around! Good Menu Items -Summer Rolls -Salt and Pepper Cauliflower -Sakura Drop Roll -Raging Demon Roll -Spicy scallop nigiri -Maui wowie roll -Caribbean Roll (if you like scallops) So many more! The customer service is amazing and the food come out pretty quick. All the rolls were very tasty and delicious. There were 2 problems, the sodas were all flat and the hot and sour soup was bland. Stopped in for a cocktail and quick bite. While the food was ok, I took ONE sip of the pineapple and ginger margarita and it tasted like a glass of hot, rusty well water with a side of disgusting! The server told me they used their "house" tequila and she couldn't take it off. She never asked me for my preference. I asked for the manager, who recited what the server said, adding that they only added the margarita mix. It wasn't even a specialty mix that they made in house! I asked what brand of tequila and he said Aristocrat. The fact that the mix wasn't a specialty was bad, but he refused to take it off the check or allow a substitute. Not a good look! We stopped off of I-40 in Belmont looking for lunch and found the Akahana just a short distance away. It is on the other side of the interstate from Belmont Abby and college. If you have time, stop by there too. It wasn’t very busy and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was very cordial. I ordered Pad Thai and added shrimp. I order that regularly and it was as good as I expected. Lots of large shrimp. My wife decided to be adventurous so she ordered the Vietnamese fried rice with shrimp. It was very tasty and she said that she would order it again. Both orders were more than we could eat, so we added two spring rolls to our takeout bag and had a nice meal for lunch at home the next day. If you want Asian food, give it a try. Delightful! Before we walked in, our waitress was already preparing for us. She greeted us cheerfully as we walked in and promptly escorted us to our table. She was attentive throughout our stay and didn't rush us through our meal. The food was excellent--flavorful and plentiful. If you're in Belmont, stop and give Akahana a try! Dishes: hot and sour soup, shrimp shumai, calamari, spicy lemongrass w/ beef, mixed vegetables w/ chicken, shrimp and squid

Delicious, authentic food with wonderful service. We were seated in a booth of our choice and given attention despite it being rather well attended. The food and beverages were delicious. Service was zero stars. I've been going to this location since they opened and even longer to the plaza midwood location where the price and quality was always much better. This location has had long enough to get it together in terms of service and it gets worse and worse. Lately, I usually get takeout (the same exact order) but decided to go here with a friend. I'm not sure when they hired the Sushi Chef but he does not know how to make their recipes. The last time I ordered takeout it was wrong also but thought it was just a one time mistake. On this visit I was surprised it was wrong considering we dined-in. Instead of coming over to see what the issue was he told the waitress he would be charging me double if he had to come our table to look at it???? Then she told me I had to take the food to the Sushi bar???? Then I go to the Sushi bar to explain, and the Sushi Chef yelled insults at me. No excuse for a adult to act like that instead of face a mistake or lack of training on the menu and what a long time customer knows her Sushi looks like after years of ordering the exact same thing. I am sadden. A long time restaurant can't have a Chef that ruins their menu and their customer base. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
