I was visiting from GA last year on my birthday. I specifically stopped in for the karaoke, but the gentleman hosting informed that he was about to call up his last singer. Without realizing the locals had overheard our conversation, everyone in almost unison proclaimed, "let her sing, let her sing!" Very cool way to be welcomed as this was not so much a vacation as it was a remembrance of my late mother who would always go on road trips here with me and my sisters to Florida. Great oysters! Wonderful atmosphere outside looking onto the Bay. Service, ok, not like I've had there before. Do want to compliment one waitress working , wish I knew her name. She was very attentive to her customers and even brought out a bowl of water to the 2 dogs with their owners. Watching her gave me great joy. Wish she had been ours. I love the music! It was also a great atmosphere with cool decorations. Very unique items hanging from the ceiling like old doors. They also have a lot of natural wood decor kinda still tree like looking. They also having eating outside available. We sat at the bar and although there weren't many people there it was a bit before I was able to flag someone down to help us. The fried tomatoes were good -mardi gras special but the she crab soup tastes like cheese soup. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

Listen.. AJs is a lot of things.. The live music? Fantastic. The cheap fruity drinks? Better than most. The views of the water? Hard to pass up… What it’s not though…? A restaurant I’d drive out of way (while on the panhandle) or recommend to someone based on the food and service… having said that, my experience was more than desirable. I'm not sure where to start, after we were finished with our food it was like pulling teeth to get our check. The food was mediocre at best and super expensive for what we had (50 bucks for some chips, 2 tacos, and a salad) and we were seated in front of a door that led out to the dock where a guide was cleaning fish. I get it, the restaurant is at a dock what do you expect, but the smell of the fish/water was almost too much for us. Maybe this was just a first time coincidence, but I won't be back to find out.
