The best pizza in the country ! The Ottolenghi is literally heavenly! And one of the most superior restaurant experiences ever … from the decor, to the service (Chandre), to chatting with the owners, to the setting, to the food and the wine! Cannot recommend this delicious place highly enough!

Nice staff, great food. Highly recommend the Boere Dim Sum and Pizza! Service might be a bit understaffed, but they were all over it.
We arrived on a busy night. Upon recommendation from the manager at our guest house, we decided to give the dog-friendly AND wheelchair-accessible Chefs Cafe a try. They were incredibly busy, but luckily we had already booked a table. However there was no one on hand to show us to our table The highlight for the evening was meeting Chef Kenton, who was in charge of making the gourmet pizzas - which were flying out of the clay oven! He took the time to explain to me exactly how he made the pizzas, and it's done so amazingly. However, I did not have the pizza. I had the steak. What made the steak special was their spekboom & pickled radish salsa. Spekboom is otherwise called “pork bush” and is indigenous to South Africa. The salsa was incredible - really absolutely delicious! So, if for no other reason, visit Chefs Cafe to try the spekboom and salsa alone! *Note: Apparently their gardens are also spectacular. We went at night, but we saw a few

Recommended by our B&B host as I am vegetarian. A lovely ambience, welcoming and friendly staff and food I would definitely recommend.
We had a short getaway in Prince Albert and decided to book a dinner at the Chef's Cafe for our 2nd night, with a great expectation from the good reviews on the net. It was loadshedding time when we arrived. We ordered small pizza as a starter, which was great. Then we quite dissapointed on the main course, lamb sosatie. It was burnt and tough..I could not finished it as I was tired of chewing the tough lamb. Or maybe it was a mutton instead of lamb? Even the apricot also got burnt, my first thought maybe abit too much of reduction sauce that caused the burnt? The electricity was back on when we'd like to order the dessert, Tiramisu..and I was not quite sure the combination of cardamon onto it. To me, the cardamon took over the taste of how the tiramisu supposed to be. The waiter who served us (sorry I forgot her name) also need a bit of briefing as she was going to take my plate when I was still busy chewing my lamb without asking me. You can actually see from my fork and knife position that I have not finish eating.. she did apologize though. And she also asked if she could take our water glasses away while the water bottle still half full. Apart from the meal, the place is beautiful, we love it, its just this first time experience wasn't our luck.
Wow wow wow I am a very fussy eater but wow love loved everything. Didn't try the pizza because I think our pizza @karushi Beaufort West is the best. Well done you can be very PROUD. Top standard. Friendly attention to detail. Waiter awesome

Had a great meal here. Boerewors dim sum starters where a treat and pasta was top notch. The Lei Water Ale is worth a try. Lovely setting and friendly and attentive staff.
Superb! We cannot rate African Relish highly enough. A jewel in the rustic Karoo town of Prins Albert, you'll be transported to newly conquered taste-terrority and culinary bliss. We spent three wonderful days cooking, tasting and exploring the bounty the area has to offer. The owners, staff and chef's team have conjured a very special Oasis of service excellence, creative cooking and authentic hospitality that will make leaving a heart-break affair! We cannot wait to return. Our heartfelt thanks and congratulations at everyone at African Relish who've made our stay and experience so memorable.
Soggy pasta, raw pizza... sad, but true. I wish I could give a good review, but sadly I believe this establishment is under new ownership. I didn't expect an apology for the bad food, but I certainly didn't expect to be made felt like it was my fault. If you say you are the expert and you are going to charge me for your expertee, please make sure you can deliver on your promise. Poor waitress was so scared of the owner/manager that she told us everyone's going to be in trouble now. Utterly sad.
