They completely messed up the flavoring. I asked for vanilla and then they tried to say that vanilla was inside. It was more like a butter, scotch or butter cream that was inside. It definitely wasn’t vanilla! They were also very rude when I asked for some type of credit back because they ruin the whole cake that I couldn’t even eat for $133. Won’t be back very rude.

During cutting the cake we noticed all of the flowers were held together with non edible wires. Please make sure your customers know this. We almost had a child and an elderly woman swallow the wire as it was hiding under icing. We were not made aware during pick up.
The cake delicious but customers should be made aware.
Edit- we called to let them know and they were incredibly non-responsive and rude. For $80 I guess that doesn’t purchase customer service or kindness. Won’t be back.

Delicious cake, the sweetest family, and the cupcakes are to die for! I love this small business. This family is absolutely the best, and most thoughtful people we've met in Cape May. They go above and beyond the request!! This cake my son chose was their lemon cake with raspberry filling -- and it was DELICIOUS! You could totally taste the lemon in the cake! And their cupcakes?! Ahmayzing. So many flavors and so fresh and delicious. Cannot recommend this business enough!

Cyndi did an entire dessert display and wedding cake for our wedding. When I tell you every single guest said it was the best wedding cake and the best dessert display they have ever had.. I mean every single guest. We were so happy with the service and not to mention Cyndi was an absolute sweetheart. Would recommend 1000x over to anyone getting married at the jersey shore. I already have friends asking where she is located so that they can get their next birthday cake here. Couldn’t be happier!

A Piece of Cake was fantastic to work with. We got married at the Grand Hotel in Cape May on August 26. Cyndi made my vision of an elegant-beach themed wedding cake come to life. Everyone complimented on how delicious our desserts and cake were; and how BEAUTIFUL our wedding cake was. Definitely recommend her to anyone getting married!

Wow! These are SO GOOD!
Sometimes a cupcake place can overdo the frosting, and it ends up being a sugar overload. These are def a solid dose of sugar, but the frosting blends perfectly with the cake, and the whole experience is delicious!
Kids got the Cotton Candy (which tasted like cotton candy) and the Fun-fetti. I got the Cherry Cheesecake and Key Lime Pie. All are tasty, different and unique. There were so many types to choose from, I guess we'll have to go back!! Staff was friendly and the shop is very clean and spacious.
PS - A good indication of well made frosting is that it does not crust over like most of the store bought varieties. Even a few minutes in the fridge, and the frosting stayed creamy and heavenly. Pictured is the Key Lime Pie (sorry, the others got eaten before I could snap a pic!)

A Piece of Cake took such great care of us for our special day. We had a very small last minute wedding and it was no problem at all for them. Not only did they make us the cutest cake in the world, but it was the tastiest cake ever!! We received so may complements on our wedding cake, would definitely recommend them!
