I rarely give bad reviews and when I do, I must be very pissed by the service or something.
I was having a lovely evening walking around the city and I decided to end the night by eating something good. Seeing the reviews I thought that's the place to be!
I ordered one of the simplest dishes available, chicken with vegetables and rice, at 7PM.
At 7:30, I asked if everything was okay with my order, because half an hour it's a long waiting time for such foods in Asia. The guy told me "3 more people and then you", or something like that. This fact suggesting that there's only one person cooking for about 10 tables.
My food came at 7:58. Mood ruined.
Was it the best food in Vang Vieng as the "restaurant" states? No.
Was it worth it? No.
Am I coming back again? Also no.

We went to this restaurant 4 times. They serve great food, everything smells great and made fresh. It does takes long time until the food is ready because there’s only one cook, but it so worth it. The family is really cute and nice. Recommend coming.

Huge portions, great food, cheap prices. The waiting time is long but worth it. Regarding the other reviews: This is Laos, please stop complaining about waiting times. It is a family run business, the lady in the kitchen is trying her best. She is a cook, wife, and mother at the same time. She is very talented and exhausted to cook for hungry tourists. Please be polite and patient. 😊

Great little spot with delicious food from Western to Traditional Lao cousin with cheap/local prices and English menu.
You can not smoke here, so you can enjoy your food without the smell.
The man speaks English enough to explain the menu and both are very friendly and welcoming.
I reckon the prices are very low (Big Beer Lao 20.000 and big water 10.000 KIP).
Definitely recommend this place.

Chicken with Cashew Nut
We had dinner at AMD during our stay. We ordered papaya salad, red curry, larb with pork, and chicken satay. The food tasted absolutely amazing, great flavour, and spiciness. The hosts are very friendly but be prepared to wait a long time. This place is very busy and there is just one cook. The food is definitely worth the wait!

We ate there every day they had tables available. Sometimes it can get REALLY busy, because there's only one lady cooking, but the food was the best we had in Laos! We really recommend the smoothies, pad Thai, garlic bread, chicken sandwich, fried rice and the schnitzel with fries (they are as good as in Czech Republic). And the family who owns the business is lovely!

Ate here twice, tried 5 dishes with my better half and everything was way beyond every other dish I've eaten in Laos. If people actually knew about this place there would be a queue up the street since seating is quite limited. On top of this, in a town full of 99% water "fruit shakes" this place is actually makes fruit shakes from fruit. Only fruit and 22k KIP and it's friggin delicious! I'm really sad I didn't know about this gem my first three days in Vang Vieng.

Stir Fried Chicken Cashew Nut
HORRIBLY slow service!! The slowest restaurant I’ve been to in my entire life. I waited 1.5 hours just for chicken satay skewers!! The restaurant staff didn’t provide any warning before ordering or apologize for the wait.
Do not come here if you plan on eating within a reasonable timeframe.
The food itself was fine, just not remotely worth the wait.

Saw people were raving about the chicken sandwich. Wondered what could be so good, but it was actually really good. Almost like a hot chicken schnitzel sandwich! Took a while to come, but were a few people ahead of me. Reasonable prices.
