It was my first time coming to this pastry shop. It’s by the AMC movie theater on the left side close to MOD pizza. All of the employees were amiable and helpful. They do provide free samples but don’t be too greedy about it. We did a sample of the pumpkin cheesecake. It was palatable with a nice crunch at the bottom. Prices are a little expensive but the quality is high. -chocolate croissant 4/5 - it was good but it could use more chocolate filling. Too much of the croissant to filling ratio. -vanilla filled cruffin 5/5 - breading and filling ratio was perfect. Cream was very smooth, not sweet. -ham and cheese croissant 5/5 - very tasty snack or light breakfast. Croissant was light and crisp. -bahia 5/5 - smooth mango flavor. Very light snack. -peanut caramel bar 5/5 - not too sweet. Good brunch at the bottom. -pumpkin pie cheesecake 5/5 - one slice is definitely not enough. Creamy, flavorful, and the crust at the bottom has the perfect crunch.

This was my first time visiting this place, and I know I will be back very soon. They have lots of flavors for their macaroons (all made from almond flour so gluten free!). I highly recommend the raspberry, hazelnut, and Sicilian pistachio. They have ice cream (and sorbet) in addition to pastries. They have croissants over the weekend (they sell out by noon, so make sure to go in before or place an order beforehand). I'd highly recommend this place. They also cater for events and can arrange items for gifts.

As someone who is french I really enjoy the quality of a la folie. The pastries are always rich, flavorful, and unique. Recently for mothers day I purchases the strawberry, yuzu, vanilla almond cake. Its was a very great twist of flavors. The cronut and the almond croissants are very good as well. I always appreciate that they have a rewards system. Staff is always nice and the email list keeps me in the loop of the newest pastries such as the recent pistachio eclair.

Lemon Tart: Delicate with a sharp tart flavor. The base cookie and merengue were superb. The merengue lasted seconds but it made a statement, – light, delicate, airy, and heavenly sweet. The lemon portion was highly sharp and yet so creamy. I won’t buy it again because it was too tart for me. It might not be to others. Give it a try. I loved the cookie and I would buy these, if possible, to enjoy with hot tea. Macaroons: Passion fruit macaroons are THE best. Superb! Excellent balance of flavor, sweetness, and texture. I strongly recommend these. It’s like France visited Puerto Rico (or viceversa) but they sealed the deal in Naperville. 😋 OCOA: A chocoholic friend noticed 3 different ways that chocolate was used. He tasted coffee. He loved it but he couldn’t finish, so it’s perfectly portioned for two. They carefully crafted these delicate desserts with high quality ingredients. The packaging is beautiful. The female staff was really pleasant to talk to. She answered questions with a smile. She was truly nice. I wished they had a small sitting area.

I was looking for a Galette des Rois and came across À La Folie. The galette tasted buttery and flaky, it was delicious. Having lived in Paris, their galette tasted very similar to those from French pâtisseries/boulangeries. My daughter especially liked the nice gold crown and the little chicken fève (wished they could have inserted the fève inside and offered a large size galette). Overall, very authentic French pastries, we enjoyed it! Service Take out Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Cleanest shop I’ve ever seen. Chocolate Yule log cake (gluten free) is an absolute slice of heaven. Best croissants and macaroons this side of the Atlantic. Perfection. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I had the Christmas log (Buche de noel chocolat). C’est delicieux;the mousse was light, the cake was moist, the caramel crunch at the end— perfect!! It’s a beautiful piece of art. I bought one for my home and gifted one. Service Take out Meal type Other Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Peanut Caramel Bar & Opera

À La Folie has the best pastries in the suburbs. Their croissants are truly special and since trying them I haven’t gone a week without craving them. Today I tried a pumpkin spice cruffin that was outstanding. Highly recommend trying A La Folie!
