We came to A Brillar Cafe for lunch on a weekend and found space quite easily. The service was quick, and the waitress spoke English, which made communication so much smoother. The space was clean and there is access to a washroom as well. We got the meat Chivito (national dish of Uruguay) which was delicious and a beer and water on the side.

The place is always crowded, and they actually take reservations.
It is a café but they have everything from pastries to salads and dessert.
Service is okay, little rude in the beginning trying to accommodate a table for 6, after that service was okay.
We ordered some coffee, pastries and desser and the order came out very strangely, one coffee perhaps every 5min so we all enjoy dinner and coffee in our table at different times.
Food was okay, coffee was great!
The place itself is small, would recommend for some coffee in the middle of the day

Ok, we may have ordered too much… but we were soo happy to finally find a place in Uruguay were they‘ve served a proper breakfast. And it was delicious! Scrambled eggs (ok, you can get that at a lot of places), avocado toast, smoothie and good coffee! And nice staff! So we can recommend it!
Uruguay, Punta del Este, A Brillar Cafe. The flight was a long one. From Krakow to Amsterdam, from Amsterdam to Sao Paulo and than at least from Sao Paulo to Montevideo, the Capital of Uruguay. More than 20 hours, the butt hurts🤣. Of course they speak Spanish in Uruguay. Punta del Este is a Tourist destination, similar like Marbella in Spain. The high season is from December to February, Then its summer in Uruguay. The Atlantic brings always fresh air to Punta del Este 😍 but be careful, you don't feel the sun and that's dangerous. We ate breakfast at the Brillar Cafe. And although the café is very unassuming, the breakfast is generous and delicious. The service is very friendly and courteous. I can recommend this restaurant without restrictions. 😋

Best breakfast in town! I ordered the "Breakfast of champions" and it was really good! It comes with an avocado toast with a sunny side up egg on the top, a side of scrambled eggs with bacon, a detox juice and a bowl of granola with fruits and yogurt. Can be shared as well. Seating both inside and outside.

Great find in PDE. Fast and attentive service, reasonable prices, high quality food, and great selection of iced coffee. Adorable outdoor seating area. Highly recommend
