A-1 is a consistent, everyday bakery in Hong Kong. They have many branches scattered throughout the city in pretty much every major district and neighbourhoods. Most sizeable shopping malls have a branch and you'll often find them at or fairly close to MTR stations as well. Opening hours are generally 7 or 7.30am to around 9pm daily. What you'll find is a nice range of western breads, danishes, donuts, cakes, pastries along with a few drink options. Products are freshly baked, good quality and fairly priced. There are high end and artisan bakeries around the city if this is what you are looking for. If it is just a quick, basic bread product needs, A1 Bakery branches are just fine. Visit their website if you need to find a branch close to your location.

Have heard about this bakery and finally had the chance to try it. Surprisingly affordable and high quality products. The sweet potatoes bread is delivered and definitely a must try.

A-1 Bakery, is allegedly a Japanese style bakery. They have a very exhaustive selection of products and can almost be found in every major or non-major mtr stations in HK. It is relatively cheap, convenient and provide good value for money bakeries. Most of their products seems to be made the same day although there is no much emphasis on presentation, the taste is great and the blend of western/japanese bakeries. Great meeting point, and life saving after a day of hiking, or if you have a lil hunger etween breaks.
Some good and tasty sweet pastry, but by far not as good as some people claim. Who ever tasted European/ German style bread knows that their version of it doesn't come close.

There is a wide selection of fresh baked goods. The descriptions of the baked items are both in English and Chinese. Great place to grab a quick bite.
Gets a little crowded during weekdays from 6-8pm.
