5 stars. Simply perfect. Price is also fair. Very tasty and fresh sea food. The interior is nice and clean. Good atmosphere with background music. Francesco the waiter paid attention. He let us the time we needed to eat at our own pace. The waiter was also very friendly with the right amount of small talk and jokes. Had a most amazing meal during our trip in Portugal🇵🇹 Our server Francesco was so spot on to recommend what we were looking for. Started with a fish/seafood soup, then raw oysters & flavourful mussels, had a perfectly roasted JonDory fish with vegetables. Had a lovely conversation with our servers & he served us with a delicious Port Wine to finish🍷 Stroll along the Sandy beach on the way back to town was added bonus✨ Thank you for an amazing experience 5 Ocean Restaurant! The menu is good - soups, salads and starters. For main dish you can choose one from the menu or fresh fish by kg made your own way. Everything is very fresh, many seafood in every portion. Be ready - portions for two are really big (look at the photo, this big bowl is a portion for two). Quite expensive, but it worth it. €800. for three. DO NOT let the waiter pick the fish for you! We came in, my dinner mates wanted "good fresh seafood"... waiter said "we'll take care of you". he started picking things. we ordered a bubbly and he was giving us choices of €65 vs €45... a HUGE tower came of fish and shellfishes... all very very delicious but tons of leftovers. Likely enough for five people! we were presented with the bill and was €800!!! menu mixed grilled fish / seafood for each individual was €120. We did not want to dispute and make a scene as we realized our initial mistake by giving the waiter a blank Chek and not asking for the price! we found it odd that he emphasized on the prices of the bubbly and kep mum about his pickings of seafood! We felt that he should have volunteered the ballpark of the prices but nothing was said. Service and all were great... but this dinner left a really bitter taste in our mouth and burning in the wallet! call us stuuupid! For seafood lovers highly recommended! Nice fresh fish and seafood, many options, would recommend seafood platter for 2 (4). Also good wine. Decent seafood. Good service. Nice location. Probably one of the best prawns with garlic I have tasted in my life. Juicy, savoury, salty, garlicky. The prawns have no shells but they keep the prawn heads so the flavour is amazing. Unfortunately, the crab was served cold, which is not too my liking. And the meat tasted not the most fresh so I was a little bit sad. And the meat in the claws tasted sandy which means the claws were either dead or the cold storage wasn’t proper. I recommend! This is a very good resturant. The service is impeccable and the staff is friendly. The food can't be more fresh. There is a daily catch selection to choose from and fresh lobsters swimming in aquarium. We chose a 2kg lobster.
