Limited meal variety. We tried gnocchi and pizza ventricina gorgonzola. Gnocchi was delicious but way too salty. Pizza off Italian type, was properly thin but salty too and came uncut to the table. Saltiness og pizza might however be caused by sausage and cheese. We have got nice place with view over Skrim mountains. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

This was a great place to relax after a long day, chill with friends and have great food & drinks. Emanuel was awesome and made the whole experience 100x better! Will definitely come back on my next visit to beautiful Norway and Kongsberg! :)

Service 1/5 Food 2/5 We reserved a table earlier that day requesting a table outside. There were still 51 seatings available at that time. We showed up 5 minutes early, and the butler told us to wait. She stood browsing on her computer for several minutes before looking up "now I have time to help you." There was 6+ tables available outside, yet we were seated inside in the middle of the restaurant without any explanation. When we asked if we could be seated outside as requested she replied " Those are potentially reserved and first come first served." As we started to ask why we were not prioritized she simply replied "they will maybe be seated." As we left the restaurant 90 minutes later we did not get any smile or goodbyes. 4 tables was still available outside, and it was not possible to book after 1930 as we had reserved for. I have been staying/living at the Clarion in Kongsberg for 2 months. I have visited this restaurant 5 times, each time trying a different dish, and each time being terribly disappointed with the quality and flavor combination. It is clear that they are trying to be new and fancy but the flavors are not inspired, do not blend well, and degrade the experience of the food. As an example, the tiramisu and the crème brûlée include chocolate that is covered in curry powder. It ruins what would otherwise be a mediocre dessert. The cost of the food is also disappointing. $20 for a scallop appetizer and you get 2 small scallops. Overpriced and a failed attempt at fancy, not for flavor, but simply to be different, and it does not work. The selection is also extremely puzzling and disappointing. They offer only one dish with pasta, an over-sauced carbonera(they do not offer the the delicious looking pasta dish pictured on their website at all), and there are zero dinner salads yet they offer the equivalent of a side salad on top of many of their pizzas. The customer service has been awful on every occasion. 2/5
