This place stands out in an area plagued by fast food and chain restaurants. The steak was outstanding( I eat steak all over the country)and my wife loved her salad. The steak came with side by side potatoes that looked like whipped Yukon gold and sweet potatoes. I also tried the potato soup. It was slightly salty. The service really shines here. The waitress seemed like she had ESP. She knew when I would ask her for another glass of wine. We ordered burgers and it just seemed like it took longer than it should have. There were two other waitresses there that were constantly around but our waiter was hard to find. We changed the regular fries to sweet potato fries and that was a mistake. They are just too much like dessert and seemed odd with the burger. If I were to pick one place in the state of Missouri, that is going to give you the best quality food with a fair price it would be 12 West. It would be hard to find another place that serves a large menu with everything on it tasting fantastic. No matter what you pick on this menu. It’s never going to disappoint. All of the staff are super friendly and very helpful. It’s like dining in a five star restaurant with a one star price. You can’t beat it. I never write reviews unless it’s a bad experience. This is the first time I’ve been compelled to write a good review. First, our server, Robert was SPECTACULAR! He is exactly the server you would design for yourself if you could. Friendly, sweet to my granddaughter, attentive and on top of our every need! Second, the food. Fantastic food incredible service comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Decor is very nice, they have these wonderful booths that are cozy with a nice big table and canopies. We had the Salmon BLT and it was amazeballs! Also the Caesar was incredible. Portions are in line with prices and food is phenomenal. 100% recommend.

My partner and I just ate here. We may not be the "normal" looking couple that come in to this place but the way we were served by Robert was kinda uncalled for. We were ignored for a good few minutes at the door. The were not busy at all... Then sat at a dirty table. Given silverware in paper napkins when EVERY OTHER table was given cloth. He gave us the very minimum service he could have given. Yes we are tattooed, LGBT couple but we are not trash. I still gave a normal 20% tip but the experience for the price was not there.
