Service was fine. Our server was terrific-she was very attentive and prompt. Food— not so good. I ordered a salad which looked very nice until stirring it around a bit and saw ALL the lettuce was brown/rusty. VERY unappetizing. I asked server to take it back and just not charge me. She was very apologetic and let management know. That being said, manager never came out to apologize or check on the rest of our food. We love coming to Wimpy and Dee's for breakfast, we have been here quite a few times and they never disappoint. Some of their food could use more seasoning their breakfast potatoes are pretty bland but that is typically my own issue. They have delicious omelets and breakfast meats. They provide large portions and quick service. Don't forget about dessert! They have a great selection of fresh baked desserts which I like to grab a piece of pie to go. Waitress was friendly and helpful. Place is decorated with memorabilia from the 50's and 50's music is playing. Menu is varied as are the results. Egg salad sandwich on a Kaiser roll comes with lettuce on it (tomato is extra) and worth fried, cole slaw and a good pickle. The egg salad had too much mayonnaise and not enough flavor for my taste but was ok. The fries had a weird taste (the waitress brought me more cole slaw since I didn't want to wait for more or different fries). The Philly cheese steak and the onion rings were reported to be very good though. Sorry I can't be more helpful about the food in general. We had great food. I ordered soup & a Greek salad. The soup was hot, as soup should be. And the salad was very fresh and appetizing. In fact, I even got one to go after tasting mine! Our server was great & very attentive! Atmosphere was what you would expect for a 50s style diner. I highly recommend Wimpy & Dee's and wish i lived closer!
