Haven't Been to the Salem Walmart in forever it's Layed out about the same as the Fredricktown Walmart , customer's and workers very Friendly and helpful, but not much emotion on their faces which seemed odd to me so in my opinion putting forth a big smile and being fake nice most be really popular, nothing Fake here in Salem just sad looking nice helpful people I enjoyed shopping there that Day...
The biggest issue that I have encountered here is when going through the cashier line is losing my merchandise after I pay. For 3 times in the last few months I have gotten home and realized the checker did not give me all the bags. I had clothing missing the first time. Thankfully, I had my receipt to show the Service Desk. They had my items stored. I received all my merch. The positive is that Walmart does keep anything left at the desk for a period of time. The next time , just a few weeks ago, I had some food items not in my take home stash. Some poultry cooking bags & plastic food storage containers. The young man did not check the bag carousel. So, now I check the bagging area myself before I leave. The last incident was a few small items; chewing gum and mi nts. So, this is something to watch. The other complaint is with corp. policy of age verification on automotive fluids. When self checking, the register stops operating until a member of management comes to input that, indeed, I am not drinking power steering fluid! LOL. I just think that if you want us to do your job, then figure out a way to spees this process. I doubt that it is state law driven. Walmart is a semi- govt NGO that is not into listening to their customers. The corp. board is a who's who of billionaires and upper level society that is not versed in the daily struggles of a tough economy. I am no longer into self check out. Checkers need to train to be faster and aware. If in a hurry I must choose self check due to slow or unavailable check out lines.

Walmart is a good place to shop for most anything you need and they have excellent carry out fried Chicken!
I'm not sure bout this place. Most of the time I have a pretty decent experience here but there has been a time or 2 when staff seemed like I was bothering them when I tried to get assistance. That makes me feel kinda foolish. Lol
It's fine. It's a Walmart. Their deli is small but tasty, no in-store bakery, I think it's probably trucked in from rolla. Has most everything for our basic needs.
This Walmart has never said hello or greetings at all whatsoever. They're not interesting in showing you where things are if you ask they don't respond or they just say I'm not sure and walk away.
Shelves are half empty. They stop carrying so many things I use every day. They make you check yourself out and have 3 or 4 watching you and talking on the 8 be checking. They make you feel under surveillance while doing the store's work. They double billed my card $300.00 last week while checking myself out. I live in a small town and only have 2 choices to grocery shop. I used to love Walmart but no more!!!

They are out of so many food items. They move items around way too often and put items in where u wuld never think to look. Women's clothes, they carry mostly sm-med, when almost the entire town here are overweight. U cab never find an employee to help u
This is the BEST Walmart I've ever been in! The store is always clean, especially the bathrooms which usually need a good cleaning, these bathrooms have always been clean and fresh smelling every time I've used them (easily a dozen times). I've witnessed some spills and the quick response of the employees is to be commendable as they FIRST ask the customer if he/she is all right and then reassure the customer that they won't be charged for the accident and that they will get it cleaned up right away. They then ask the customer to continue their shopping while they clean. The clerks on the registers have always greeted me as I walk up and always ask if I found everything I was looking for. All the employees here are very helpful, friendly and professional. I enjoy both shopping inside as well as ordering a curbside pickup. I am a disabled veteran and require the use of their electric carts to shop around inside. I have always found these carts clean, fully charged and ready to be used. Their cart retrieval team is awesome! On several occasions they have witnessed me struggling to walk to the front door and have found a cart outside in another handicap spot and drove it over to me saving me a painful walk to get a cart inside. I use this business for buying most all of my food, clothing, etc. I would highly recommend this business to everyone. **UPDATE 6/19/23- APPARENTLY WALMART HAS CHANGED THEIR PHARMACY CLOSING TIME TO 7PM INSTEAD OF 9PM FOLKS. YES, I ARRIVED AT 710PM AND I WAS SHOCKED TO SEE THEM CLOSED, HOPING IT WAS JUST FOR DINNER BUT NO, 7 PM IS CLOSING TIME AT THE SALEM, MISSOURI PHARMACY IN WALMART. I'LL HAVE TO GO BACK TO MORNING PICKUP. UPDATE 10/4/23: Nothing new to report. STILL the cleanest Walmart I've ever been in, including the restroom! The customer service is and has ALWAYS been excellent here at the Salem, MO Walmart. I have always had no problem getting assistance, unlike the Rolla, MO Walmart Electronics department where I waited a good fifteen minutes to get any help. Evidently checking in stock here is WAY more important than helping the disabled! He knew I was waiting at his counter but STILL he continued to check in the delivery! When he realized I wasn't going anywhere, his attitude was not helpful and his response was angry and demeaning as he pointed in the general direction of where I could find the Internet router. I found them and left. The store was disorganized and I had trouble finding what I needed so I gave up, checked out and left. The employees truly are not happy to work there, even the cashier seemed annoyed. I'm going to just not go there and just get everything I need from the SALEM Walmart as I did when I got back home. My recommendation is to NOT use the Rolla, MO Walmart! Plus that store seemed "dirty" and the bathroom was not as nice as Salem Walmart's bathroom.

I enjoy dealing g with the emoyees at our Walmart. On the whole they are top shelf, kind & helpful people. They go out on a limb to hp their customers. I would be our friendly, helpful associates up against any other store. Bravo, Salem, MO Walmart.
