My family came for dinner and we have always enjoyed the food. I LOVE the chicken corn Cajun soup. Just a little spice but lots of flavor. The sides of Mac and cheese were delicious and creamy! The mushrooms were so flavorful and yummy! The shoe string potatoes were like chips and so crunchy and yummy! The white chocolate cheesecake was so rich and creamy. The bread pudding was okay. It was a little dry but the flavor was good. I got the steak in wine sauce with mushrooms and it was phenomenal. My partner got the chicken stuffed with mozzarella tomatoes and other things but it was so juicy and delicious ! I love the station. It’s the perfect hide away spot in town. The staff is friendly. I’ve been a huge fan of the Station restaurant for years, but hadn’t been in for a while until last night. I went for dinner with my wife and had an absolutely outstanding meal. Alan is a top notch waiter and German is a first class bartender/front of the house who does an excellent job of interacting with the patrons. We were sorry to miss Carlos, one of the best in the business. Our meal was a 10/10, don’t miss the firecracker calamari. My wife had the filet and loved every bite. The grilled marinated hanger steak was cooked to perfection and their scalloped potatoes are the standard by which all others should be measured. Truly superior restaurant, highly recommend. Great service with great food. Serving staff was young, but don't let that fool you. They knew everything on the menu, provided recommendations and understood and took orders well without writing anything down. I had the filet with gorgonzola cheese and my colleague had a fish dish. The staff knew everything about the dishes and answered every question with ease and confidence. A little loud and dark but a gem. We had dinner at the Station at Mountain Lakes for the first time on Sunday 1/14, to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and we definitely were not disappointed. This is a classic stone restaurant in a train station. Atmosphere is eclectic and cozy. Service and food were both excellent. I was undecided between two kinds of wine, and our waiter offered me a sample of both kinds so I could decide. This was the first time I’ve experienced that in a restaurant and I really appreciate the gesture. We had the Savory Puff as an appetizer… sausage, mushrooms, and fresh mozzarella in a puff pastry with cream sauce. It was so delicious, that we didn’t even get a picture. For dinner, I had the stuffed salmon with crabmeat and my husband had the chicken toscana. Portions were generous, and both of our dishes came with some rice and a mix of vegetables. For dessert, we had Grandma’s Chocolate Cake. The chocolate reminded me of a candy bar, and it was served with some strawberries, whipped cream, and chocolate drizzle. Coffee was another win, so we both left impressed and the Station was an excellent choice. We would definitely return and bring our family to celebrate another special occasion. It also should be noted that this is a scratch restaurant, so everything is made fresh. No short cuts or anything of that nature, as was evident in the delicious food that was served. Best of luck to Carlos and his team, as this is a hidden gem and we will definitely be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Joined a few friends for dinner tonight and I must say how impressed I was with the ambiance, staff and service, notably Juanita the bartender and our server Jermain. Everything was right on point from the moment we entered the restaurant until we left the main dining room which had a wonderful charm with their rocked finished walls and unique tapestry lining the windows and walls. I had their stuffed eggplant rollatini appetizer which was incredible followed by their hanger steak with scalloped potatoes and spinach, all amazing. For dessert my friend swears by the chocolate peanut butter cake while I had the blueberry pastry. Both were incredible choices. Can't wait to return. Folks, you need to put this on your bucket list. You will not be disappointed. 👍 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Scalloped Potatoes

Loved EVERYTHING about this place. The food was Fabulous!! The atmosphere was truly what it was supposed to be. We sat outside on a brisk night to enjoy our dinner. The waiter catered to our every need. He put a portable heater next to our table to see to our comfort. And the food was to die for!! WOW!!! I will be coming back when I'm in the area. My wife and I went to The Station at Mountain Lakes for an impromptu date night, which has been on our list for a while, ever since it was recommended highly to us. We began with the Brie in a Puff Pastry with Raspberry and Poached Pears, which was a special appetizer, that was delicious! For our entrées, I ordered the Gorgonzola & Herb Crusted Filet Mignon with crispy shoestring potatoes and sautéed spinach, which was UNBELIEVABLE! My wife ordered the Hanger Steak with scalloped potatoes and sautéed spinach, which was fabulous! For dessert, we got one of their specials, Raspberry Sorbet, that was portioned generously and to die for! The meal was spectacular and reasonable, given the exorbitant prices these days. The service, ambiance were good, for an overall experience that we're eager to duplicate, so we'll be back! Great food and environment. Consistently provides a top notch experience.
Seriously a good place to dine in on Valentine's Day, or any day that fancies you. My husband booked our reservation via the Open Table app a week before Valentine's Day - we took the 5PM slot to avoid traffic. Getting there was a breeze, with ample parking slots; and we were then seated promptly at a nice corner by the right wing of the restaurant. Tip: Main entrance is a bar, so head out towards the stairs where you will find the receptionist who will lead you to your table. Servers were nice and efficient--always making sure you have what we need. The table set up was charming, and spacious enough for 4 people. The rose was a nice touch too so that was a plus! We ordered Arugula Salad as a starter, and had three entrées: Shrimp and Spinach, then followed by Seafood Scallop Provoncale and Sirloin Steak. We finished it off with chocolate cake (which was a huge portion!) and I was eager to taste their Signature coffee concoction called "The Station Coffee" a warm coffee drink with hazelnut, caramel cream and a spike of whiskey. Everything was delicious and promptly served! My hubby and I were so full we just wanted to sleep after hahaha! Also, you can change what goes with your entrees - like swap spinach with rice or broccoli, just make sure you ask :) And if you're lucky - you may just see the train passing by because the restaurant was literally a train station before and still has the train stop next to it. How cool is that? Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting to spend a lovely, fine dining experience with a great ambience, satisfying food, and excellent service!
