Oh my goodness, our meal was so good. Highly recommend, each and every thing we ordered was incredible. Our server was kind and helpful, and the pace was efficient. We went in the middle of the afternoon, so it wasn't very busy, but our food was still fresh and delicious. We paid to park in a lot right behind the building. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20
It was my first time having Ethiopian food. I had Doro Wat. It was good. I needed more flavor for my own taste, but I'm here for the culture. It was a late night and we needed food. I would try another dish if I go back. They didn't have Sambosa tho. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

It’s the first Ethiopian restaurant in Minneapolis, MN since 1990. It’s located in a dangerous area and you got to watch your back. The “ghetto in the sky” is dominating the Minneapolis skyway on this side of town. The City of Minneapolis and mayor are true idiots for not preserving a great part of the city, and not turning it into a vibrant and cultural center. The city does not even allow free parking, and while you pay for parking you get get beat up or gunned down. Thank you Mayor! The Red Sea is great on the other side if you don’t get murdered on the way there. It’s like escaping war to get there, a true story. The restaurant has this cool African vibe. The incense they burn it’s cleaning, it bring your senses right into Africa, Ethiopia is a vibrant country with vibrant people. There is bar next door too playing Ethiopian modern tunes. There is a bar on the side of the restaurant too. The bar is busy too with African men who are actually nice and talkative. Some enjoy their cocktails others having Ethiopian coffee. The food is Very colorful and tasty. The dishes too are what you should expect from Ethiopian food 🤩 Good people and the waitresses are calm and kind. I would say get the kinds of Ethiopian food that has the sauce in there. #19 is the bees chunks with the red sauce that makes it great for dipping. Their chicken dishes or lamb looks good too. You can ask for the Ethiopian ground spice to set your mouth on fire 🔥 I did and I don’t even regret it. Cheers to the Ethiopian food and the vibrant culture ;) Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Recommended dishes Side Injera

This is a great spot. I got take out, lunch, and dinner. The atmosphere was much more lively on a Sunday evening and was more low key and chill on a Friday for lunch. I tried multiple dishes and it’s all been good. These are all the dishes I’ve had that I would recommend: - Kitfo Dulet (well done) - Meat Combo (Doro, Sega & Yebeg Alicha with a side choice of 2 Vegetarian Dishes) - Red Sea Steak Sandwich - Awaze Tibs - Doro Wat - Zil zil tibs (the meat was a bit tough when I ordered this dish, but it was still good) Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Side Injera

Titi (my waiter) was amazing and super patient. The ambience felt so homely. For the food, I had an explosion of robust flavors just at first bite which shows how much love was went into preparing it. I will recommend this place over and over again.
