Wow, this place really surprised me. I went at prime lunchtime, and there was a line, and i couldn't believe how fast it went and how fast i got my food. (Fast, friendly service) it was like all the employees owned the place. Great place, and i haven't even gotten to the food yet!
Chicken tenders were the perfect blend of spicy and crispy, and they even had gravy as a dipping sauce choice.
This is definitely a place you should try or keep going back to.

Chicken Tenders
Great service and better food. I had the chicken and waffles and they were outstanding. The Mac and cheese was great too. My wife had the Sleezy Chicken (chicken, coleslaw, and Mac and cheese) and she loved it. There was plenty of seating and the place was clean. Ever since I went to Nashville years ago, I love hot chicken and I appreciate all the local places popping up. This is probably my new favorite. We will be back.

First time visiting The Cookshack and we were very pleased. Employees very attentive and nice, our food was delicious, the place was very nice really liked the atmosphere. Order a few salads they were fresh and delicious The chefs special was on point. We will definitely be back do recommend.

The service was fast, the restaurant was clean and the employees were very friendly. I got the quarter rack of ribs with sweet potato waffle fries and a chocolate chip ice cream sandwich for dessert. The ribs tasted great and fall off the bone! They were just a bit too salty for me, however I still enjoyed it. The fries were crispy and had a good flavor. The ice cream cookie was alright. I noticed the ice cream was iced over a bit and didn't have much of a "creamy" texture. The cookie part was good, though!
All in all my grandpa and I enjoyed our first time here very much.

Sweet Potato Fries
Great menu with chicken, ribs, waffles, salads, and one damned good ice cream cookie sandwich. I got mild heat and it was perfect. My buddies got the higher heat and were sweating.
Loved the fries, reminded me of Wendy's fries. Couldn't order the Texas caviar because they add onions and cucumber. Got the blue cheese dip, which was wonderful.

First time here— loved it! Great food & one order was enough for two meals, so it’s a good value. Tasted good, well seasoned chicken, and fast service. We will definitely make the drive to come here every so often for a special dining-out lunch.

Cool Shack has the best chicken sandwich that I’ve ever had. It was a great blend of juicy chicken, bread, pickles, slaw, and tasty suave. Cook shack allows you to choose your heat level in their chickens breading. They also had crispy fries and friendly service.

The chicken was extra crispy which was great in taste and the skin was not overpowering to the taste of the chicken, but the fries were mediocre and the slice of bread felt like an afterthought. I did try my husband’s mac and cheese and that was so delicious and creamy. My order was forgotten about and brought to me last while my family all received their food but that issue was resolved once I let the staff know, so I was cool with it once they resolved it. Staff was friendly. I also really enjoyed how chill the restaurant was. Not too crowded and roomy. Good place to lounge. Fairly inexpensive. No real complaints about this place but unfortunately nothing really stood out and I don’t really see a difference from other chicken restaurants.

AMAZING CHICKEN AND WAFFLES! The waffles are so fluffy, and the chicken is delicious. The portion/amount of food you get is also great and makes the price more than resonable. If you're not in the mood for a waffle (I get it, but you're missing out) They have a delicious selection of chicken and other meats (like ribs). If you like spicy things, this is definitely the place for you. Although I personally have a low spice tolerance so I went with plain. They have a large scale of hot levels for you to choose from. Overall delicious I definitely recommend it. (please put one in The Woodlands)

Tastes amazing, strong margaritas and friendly service. Definitely returning to try more on the menu. Had the Texas hot Sleezy Chicken and it’s got a great kick of flavor and spices. The boujee margarita tastes great also! Different but great and strong. The portions are worth the price too !
