My friend and I recently had an experience at this quaint, old-time saloon nestled among the majestic redwoods that truly was one for the books. There's an undeniable charm to the place that feels like stepping back in time, and it's immediately clear that this bar has seen its fair share of lively nights and colorful characters.
Our bartender for the night, Bethany, was truly a character all on her own. Her energy was infectious and she kept the entire place lively and buzzing. There was a certain unique charm to her approach, and she managed to ensure every patron was feeling well-taken care of.
I must also mention the great value for money that we received. The drink prices were surprisingly affordable, contributing to a fun night that didn’t break the bank. This definitely scored high points with us, as it allowed us to enjoy more of the exciting cocktail selection.
All in all, I must say this was one of the most entertaining and enjoyable bar experiences I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for an evening filled with fun, laughter, and a spirited atmosphere, I highly recommend this place. Hats off to the staff, and especially to our extraordinary bartender who made our evening truly unforgettable. We’ll certainly be back!

Looked interesting so we stopped in. Looks like it was a hopping place in it's heyday. Bartender was very friendly. The owner for the last 46 years was puttering around. The bar was made from beautiful redwood, with burled front moulding. The beer was cold.
It’s gone down hill since Bill left R.I.P Good old times with good old friends on the Avenue of the Giants. can’t even watch the 49ers games when they advertise you can you can only watch games that they want you to watch.
It's been about 7-8 yrs since I was there. Placed cleaned up alot and ran into some people I hadn't since for awhile. Local hang out. Owner had traveled around the world so there's some interesting items in the bar.
