On the water in Howie in the hills. The restaurant has a glassed in room facing the lake. I had calamari and the chicken dinner. Both were really good. In fact I ate all of it. I also had cheese cake which was good. The server was very busy and the room was full so there was a bit of a wait. It was a little costly but it has a great view and the food is very good. Such a fun place to visit and worth the drive to charming Howey in the Hills. I love the peel and eat shrimp, but everything is good. The wait staff are fantastic. Stop by The Yalaha Bakery afterwards! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We found this place on a random Google search. Glad we did! The best fish fry I've ever had (also excellent bloody marys) . So good we came back twice on our 5 day vacation. Right on the water, also deck outside. Service was excellent. Great atmosphere. Will be back every time we get to the area. This place was recommended to us by our tour guide at the Howey Mansion and it didn’t disappoint!! The view on the lake was amazing (even on a cloudy day!). Food was delicious. We got the Chicken BLT, the Reuben sandwich, the fish fry and the Shrimp platter and everything was very tasty! We didn’t try any of their desserts but they looked really good! Our server, Cody, was great! Efficient and friendly!! Would recommend try this place!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is a little gem tucked away lakeside in Howey in the Hills. Since we're local to the area, we'll stop in once or twice a month. We dropped in at 12 noon, and parking was no problem. Parking can get tight at dinner time or during the summer months. We were seated within a minute at a window table, providing us with a great view of Little Lake Harris. It's definitely a locals place, but there are plenty of first-time visitors. Our server was friendly and attentive. The menu has recently been updated with a few changes, but my favorites were still present. My wife went for the shaved beef sub, and I had the Fish Fry, which was Red Snapper that day. I also had the corn fritters for a side. I tried the Founder's Porter for a drink, and my wife had a glass of red wine. Personally, I've always believed frying seafood was the worst thing one could do to fish or shrimp. But I was pleasantly surprised with the light but flavorful batter cooked to perfection. The corn fritters were an excellent alternative to fries or chips. My wife upgraded to sweet potato fries, which really topped off her meal. Unfortunately, the Coconut Bomb cake has fallen off the dessert menu, but the Florida Orange cake is a great alternative. All in all, a very nice lunch in a nice, laid-back, casual atmosphere.
