I love coming here and I make sure to visit a few times every year because the menu changes with the season. The service is impeccable, and I appreciate the knowledge that each server has spent time acquiring. The kitchen is beautiful and I would highly recommend coming with three or four friends so that you can order almost everything on the menu and share. I think my most distinct memory from this restaurant was a potato soup that they had in the winter a few years ago that was topped off with fresh grated horseradish. It was silky and comforting and changed my mind completely about an ingredient I thought I hated. This is one of the best restaurants that Iowa has to offer. Being for Chicago city of food, this food here was not great. It wasn’t horrible but the food concepts didn’t bode well with us. We for the Pork Schnitzel and the Rigatoni. Beautiful atmosphere and good service and fantastic drinks. My husband and I came to Dubuque for a quick getaway just to eat at Brazen. We love to chase good food together. The menu was interesting, comforting and fun. The creative thought behind a menu like this, where there is an option for everyone, is inspiring. We are suckers for a craft cocktail menu and our drinks were perfect. The vibe and energy of this place is a reason of its own to dine here. The open kitchen, exposed brick walls and playlist of tunes overhead make you feel like you are somewhere everyone wants to be. Our server was so friendly. She exuded easy kindness and genuine hope that we would enjoy our meal and experience. I am a complete sucker for cake roll for dessert. It takes me back to my grandmas kitchen in my childhood and literally no restaurant offers this for dessert. I was over the moon to hear this as an option! It was literally perfect. Kudos to all working on our random Tuesday date night. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

What a gem of a find in Dubuque, IA of all places! If you're a local, Brazen offers a complete dining experience. If you are a foodie traveling through, like me, you will be elated to find a fine dining establishment in Dubuque all places! Service was smooth and thoughtful. Our server, Cristina, was well-versed and attentive, even down to the details on our wine label. She was attentive to allergies and made sure to check with the kitchen on ingredients. We ordered the Leek Fondue and Pork Belly for appetizers. Seriously that fondue will make everyone ask if it's okay to lick the bowl! The pork belly melts in your mouth while the chicharrones contrast with a crisp the bite. Don't go there looking for southern fried chicken. You will be disappointed. Moist juicy chicken with a heavy crunchy breading, Brazen's fried chicken is a generous example of Midwestern comfort food. Remember, we're still in Iowa. However, one bite of the umami braised beef short rib had this southerner swooning and crooning, "ooo, mommy!" Yes, it's that delicious. Fork tender beef. Savory goat cheese polenta. With a swoop, the cabbage puree balances all those flavors in a delightful bite. Do yourself a favor and order dessert. Heck! Bring a friend and order two! If Banana cake is still on the menu. You'll have dreams about that buttery carmel sauce. I never thought I'd be saying this...I can't wait to go back to dine in Dubuque! Our food was wonderful! The service was very good. The atmosphere was great! We came here with the mindset of paying a little extra for fine dining. We got a big city dinner experience in a smaller Midwest city without the 2 hour wait time. Wonderful experience! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Truly wonderful food!! And incredible bastion of dining nestled in a cozy Midwest setting. This is the kind of place where you know the chef is amazing and everything on the menu is great, so feel free to venture away from things you would normally order and go for something new! We had the porkbelly, Bluefin tartare, pork shoulder, and a great creme brulee. Can't wait to visit again! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Excellent environment, food and service. In a town that is suffering for good food Brazen does an excellent job filling that void. I highly recommend the pork belly on the appetizer menu, I think it’s the best thing we had. The steak was also cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The scallops were excellent as well, although a lighter item the broth it is served in was delicious. The desserts were fantastic as well. A great meal for a date night or special occasion.

We visited from out of town last weekend, had dinner and cocktails there on Friday night and loved it so much we came back again the following night! Fantastic cocktails, great salads, delicious ribeye, fried chicken was great, salads and desserts were also fantastic. Oh and one of the best crab cakes I have ever had too! Also the service was on point. Highly recommend and will be back when we are back in town!
